Built originally as a palace for the royal visit of the King and Queen of
England, the Welcomgroup Usha Kiran Palace is now a leading member of the
Heritage Hotels of India. It is the recipient of the National Award for
Excellence in the Heritage Hotels category. The regal architecture of the
palace hotel is resplendent with stone carvings and filigree work.
The late Maharaja Jiwajirao Scindia resided here during his lifetime. The

flowering trees were landscaped by the world famed horticulturalist,

suites, each reflecting the majestic tastes of the Mahajara who built them
and equipped with the facilities and amenities you would expect from a
leisure resort. The ornate rooms are adorned with Art-Deco furniture. The
French mosaic floors provide a cheerful counter point. As you lie back and
gaze upward, the ceilings come to view, with panels of floral motifs in
relief. These giant size rooms with spacious baths, ante-rooms, and old
world charm, are reminiscent of the gracious lifestyles of the Maharajas.

The Usha Kiran Palace offers an ideal location for conferences with three
venues, and the support of a professional convention team. Conference room
for 25 persons, Banquet Hall for 100 persons, Dining Hall for 70 persons.
The gardens are also available for open air lunch or dinner gatherings.
